Techniques HIFU

HIFU or High Intensity Focused Ultrasound is a technique that emits coagulation points into the SMAS (Muscular Aponeurotic System above the face muscles) by ultrasound, in order to combat sagging skin on the face and neck. The effect will be progressive over three to six months. Two treatments at a three-month interval are recommended. This treatment can be performed throughout the year and does not require a local anaesthetic. There may be very slight redness for an hour after treatment.

HIFU also has a slight lipolytic effect. Thanks to this effect, HIFU can reduce the fat of a double chin.

HIFU treatment is suited to all skin types. This treatment can be combined with another consultation for hyaluronic acid or botulinum toxin injections, or other treatments such as picosecond laser, IPL, radiofrequency, microneedling with radiofrequency, fractional CO2 laser or a facelift.

Prior consultation with a dermatologist is compulsory. Together, you and your doctor will assess which treatment is best suited to your needs and what the possible side effects might be. Based on this discussion, the doctor will also provide a quote.
