Microneedling with radiofrequency is a technique that treats sagging skin, certain wrinkles, scars, stretch marks and underarm hyperhidrosis. Radiofrequency heats the dermis to stimulate the production of collagen. The use of micro needles further increases this effect. The skin will improve progressively over three to six months. Bearing in mind that each treatment will bring an improvement of 25 to 30%, several sessions may be necessary.
This treatment is carried out under local anaesthetic causing redness that lasts about three days, which can be covered as of the following day. Skin should not be tanned. Sun exposure can resume four weeks after the treatment using an SPF50 sunscreen. During treatment and in agreement with your doctor, anticoagulants must be discontinued.
This treatment is suited to all skin types. This treatment can be combined with another consultation for hyaluronic acid or botulinum toxin injections, or other laser treatments such as picosecond laser, IPL, HIFU, fractional CO2 laser or a surgical facelift.
Prior consultation with a dermatologist is compulsory. Together, you and your doctor will assess which treatment is best suited to your needs and what the possible side effects might be. Based on this discussion, the doctor will also provide a quote.
